Two temples are close as well: the Chùa Thiên Tôn pagoda at 250 m and the Đình Hưng Phú temple at 300 m.

Getting around is simplest by taxi or ride-hailing car. The Bến xe Quang Tỷ Sài Gòn bus station, which serves coaches, is 1.6 km away, and Saigon Railway Station, the main station for long-distance trains, is 3.5 km away. Tan Son Nhat International Airport is 6.1 km away, and the Bến Bình An ferry terminal is 3.7 km away, both a short taxi ride rather than a walk.

Within walking distance, Chợ Ba Đình is a neighbourhood market 350 m away where you can buy fresh food for the kitchen, and the Nha Van Hoa Q5 cultural house is 700 m away. For a longer outing, Tao Dan Park is 3.6 km away and offers a green break from the city, while the War Remnants Museum, a museum on the Vietnam War, is 4 km away in District 3, a leafy residential area west of the centre. Walking the older streets is the best way to see the area, and the market and temples nearby make a short loop possible.
